Wakanoho apologizes for marijuana possession

TOKYO, Japan - Former sumo wrestler Wakanoho from Russia wipes the sweat from his brow during a news conference in Tokyo on Sept. 8. Wakanoho, whose real name is Gagloev Soslan Aleksandrovich, was released from detention earlier in the day after being arrested Aug. 18 on suspicion of possessing marijuana in June. He has been expelled by the Japan Sumo Association, becoming the first active wrestler to be dismissed in sumo's long history.
